Tuesday 10th & Wednesday 11th October 2017

The OIE are delighted to be hosting a wide range of events in collaboration with Early Excellence.

The sessions will be exploring the dynamic relationship between the child, the adult and the environment.

These Workshops are designed for Heads, Senior Leaders and a range of Practitioners across EYFS and KS1 and are guaranteed to inspire, challenge and inform practice and provision.

Tuesday 10th October 2017

On Tuesday 10th October there will be three events held at the Outwood Institute of Education.

(Session A) In Pursuit of Excellence – 9:30am – 12:00pm

This session for Heads and EYFS leaders will start to consider the key principles for confidently monitoring the EYFS and striving for outstanding. Through exploring the interactive environment, the session will focus on the key features of continuous provision and best practice. Participants will access resources to support with the quality assurance and the evaluation of practice, provision and impact in their EYFS.
PRICE: £40 members / £50 non-members.

(Session B) Inspirational Environments – 1:00pm – 3:30pm

This session for EYFS teachers will focus on the principles of continuous provision in practice. We will start to explore the dynamic relationship between the child, the adult and the environment and how, when all these are deeply understood and working effectively, the potential of our environment for learning is maximised and the best possible outcomes for children can be assured. As well as time to explore the interactive environment, there will be many examples of high quality indoor learning environments and discussion about how we can ensure provision responds to the needs of all children.

Wednesday 11th October 2017

On Wednesday 11th October there will be one event held at the Outwood Institute of Education.

(Session D) Effective Interactions – Supporting Children’s Learning within Continuous Provision – 9:30am – 3:30pm

This full day of training within the interactive environment is for all EYFS support staff. In this highly practical workshop, participants will explore their role in supporting and extending children’s learning through using continuous provision. The second part of the day will focus on what we mean by effective, high quality interactions, and there will be practical strategies to support participants in aspects such as questioning, to successfully improve the quality of their adult-child interactions.

If you are unable to attend an event the following charges will apply:

Less than 48 hours prior to the event100%

Cancellation more than 28 days prior to the event will be refundable. If you are able to send another colleague in your place, we will transfer the booking to a colleague with no administration charge.
