Sally Lowe is a headteacher of a small infant school in a deprived area of Wakefield. She has been headteacher at Girnhill Infant School since April 2002; before that she was deputy headteacher in a largely Asian school in Manchester and since September 1985 has taught in a range of schools, largely infant in both Manchester and Haringey, London, always in areas of high deprivation.
Sally has worked as a LLE supporting schools in Wakefield since April 2009. In July 2013 Girnhill Infant School was given ‘outstanding’ on the new Ofsted framework. Since then she has become a NLE. Her areas of expertise are Early Years, Key Stage 1, Letters and Sounds and Narrowing the Gap.
