Tracy worked as a Local Authority AST for Design and Technology for 6 years and previously ran a very successful D&T department. Currently leading a very large department called Creative Industries – incorporating D&T, Art, Music, Performing Arts and Key Stage 4 examined subjects: Construction, Health and Social Care, Child Development. At Thornhill Community Academy she is responsible for Food Technology; her personal results are outstanding and remaining at “the chalk face” keeps her knowledge fresh and ideas current.
Tracy has had many school based leadership roles – including responsibility for numeracy across the curriculum, AfL and quality assurance of Teaching and Learning with an excellent track record of supporting through training, mentoring and coaching middle leaders.
Now involved in primary and secondary D&T networks offering training and support to all teachers, Tracy visits primary schools to help with the new D&T curriculum, training and events days.
