The programme is designed to provide non-specialist and returner teachers with the subject knowledge needed to deliver good and outstanding Maths lessons and be able to address student misconceptions in the classroom.
This is a modular programme which will offer 21 sessions in total. Participants will select to attend relevant sessions based upon feedback from an initial needs analysis and can attend as many sessions as they wish but must attend at least 50% of the programme.
All sessions are delivered by Specialist Leaders of Education from the Outwood Institute of Education and are held at the Outwood Conference Centre, based at Outwood Academy Adwick. To ensure minimum impact on schools, sessions are a mixture of full days, twilights and weekend sessions; attendance to the first session is mandatory and further session will be decided once delegates’ needs have been identified.
The programme is certificated by the Yorkshire and Humber Maths Hub, who will also provide participants mentoring support throughout the programme.
