Shape the future of Maths. For the Trust that’s reshaping Britain’s schools.
Outwood Grange Academies Trust is one of the highest performing academy trusts in the country – and we’re expanding fast. We are enjoying significant investment from the Department of Education to intervene in underperformance at schools across a number of regions, giving us huge impact on countless young people’s lives.
Our achievements speak for themselves, with most of our academies rated Outstanding and the remainder as Good with Outstanding features.
In particular, we can demonstrate an impressive record in GCSE Maths, we always achieve higher than national average on the key measures (now 5+ and 4+) even though our students enter our academies below National Average. Of this, we are extremely proud. What’s more, we are the lead in the Yorkshire and Humber Maths Hub, which has a national profile under the leadership of our Senior Maths Director Kathryn Greenhalgh, who has recently chaired one of the Government’s Workload Review Groups.
You will build on this success and take us to the next level, working closely with a panel of Mathematics Directors and senior leadership teams at a number of academies. To give you maximum flexibility, you can be based anywhere from North Yorkshire to the Tees Valley, South and West Yorkshire, East Midlands and North Lincolnshire.
Chances are you will be an experienced examiner (especially in EdExcel Maths), with knowledge and understanding of the Ofsted inspection process. You will certainly possess everything required to take a strategic lead on responding to academies’ needs, which could involve anything from hands-off mentoring to directly running a department.
Needless to say, you will be an inspiring leader with real vision and passion – and the drive and determination to make things happen.
Please contact Kathryn Greenhalgh, Senior Director of Maths, on 07590 351752 for an informal discussion, or to arrange a visit to any of our academies.
The Outwood Grange Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced CRB disclosure.
