We are seeking to appoint a full-time Attendance Officer to join our existing Attendance Team within a large 2,200 student Academy in Wakefield. The hours are 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3.30pm Friday, term time plus 5 additional days to be arranged to suit the demands of the team.
The post holder will be responsible for providing operational and administrative support to promote whole school attendance strategies. Experience within a school attendance role is advantageous but not essential. Practical experience of using word processing, email, excel and other IT applications is essential for this role.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate with children and adults at all levels, both verbally and in writing. They must be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. It is vital they are able to prioritise their workload whilst working under pressure and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
