Effective Notes and Minute Taking Course

Please arrive for 9.15am ready for a 9.30am start. The finish time will be 4.30pm, depending on the questions and answers at the end of the day.

This 1 day course gives delegates the opportunity to identify the skills required to be an Effective Notes and Minute Taker as well as highlight and review key issues. The course is intended to increase confidence in listening skills and the
writing of clear, correct and concise notes. It also reviews the identification of clear actions and assigning of responsibilities providing structure and guidance throughout.

Objectives

At the end of the course delegates will be able to:

  • Define their roles as meeting reporters
  • Describe key tasks: pre, during and after the meeting/event
  • Increase their confidence with note taking and minute writing
  • Be aware or use the appropriate format to produce clear concise minutes

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for those with no formal training in taking minutes, and those new to the role of minute taker wishing to ensure that work carried out in this highly important area, is as effective as possible.
