Course description

The focus of this term's meeting is reflections on the Sumer 2019 GCSE exams. In the meeting we will cover the following topics.

  • Provisional results for A-level and GCSE sciences: discussion of national data on this summer's exams.

  • AQA Insight reports into the 2019 exams: discussing what went well and areas of challenge, with particular focus on Combined Science: Trilogy.

  • Exploring student misconceptions: applying knowledge in unfamiliar contexts and understanding equations at different levels of demand. Using actual responses from this summer's papers to look at how you can use these types of questions to enhance student understanding.

  • Updates: new and updated resources on the AQA website to help you in your teaching.

 Suitable for:

Current and potential teachers of GCSE Science.
