Manual handling is one of the leading causes of workplace injury.

 Approximately 8.9 million days were lost through musculoskeletal disorders in 2016/17.

The Health and Safety Executive and employers have made tackling MSDs a priority over the past few years.

By meeting manual handling legislation, you can take a big step in reducing injuries.

 This training is for at staff who transport or support a load/ person including the lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying or more moving by hand or by bodily force or support pupils who use a wheelchair, walking frame, standing equipment or are manually handled.

The course will last from 9.30am - 4.00pm, and staff can choose from one of two dates:

  • Monday 11th November 2019

  • Tuesday 19th March 2020

Open to OGAT staff only. The charge is £95 per person.
